About The CBAP® Examination

CBAP® Certification and Exam Details

With its first exam administered in November of 2006, the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) began designating a professional certification called the Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®). Individuals who obtain this certification are considered the elite, most experienced members of the Business Analysis community.

Candidates for the CBAP® certification have experience identifying the business needs of an organization, analyzing business requirements, and implementing process improvements which contribute significantly to organizational success. The CBAP® certification process includes demonstrating the required experience, knowledge and competencies of a qualified practitioner of Business Analysis. The qualifications, as designated by the IIBA® for this exam are as follows:

The Examination

The examination is computer-based and is comprised of 150 multiple-choice questions. The allotted time to complete the examination is three and one-half (3.5) hours. The examination is offered around the world at IIBA®-approved testing centers. To find a testing center in your area please visit the IIBA website. Although we do not offer specific training products and classes to prepare for the CBAP® exam at this time, we do have basic recommendations for classes and study for all IIBA® Certifications.
